How to: 6 rings in 6 minutes

After making my first button ring a while back I've wanted to make a lot more and this morning I did. Here is the result:

Dscn0731

I made these in a matter of minutes, so simple and great results.

First you need the ring bases, I bought 20 from eBay for less than £3. Then you need some things to put on top. I had 2 rings, a pink one and a leopard print one, 2 matching blue plastic beads, a bead/button that fell off my Desigual bag and I made a bow from some green ribbon.

All you need to do is superglue the tops to the bases. That is it. Simples. I made sure that the 2 blue beads were glued on in different directions so I had 2 completely different rings. The most expensive ring I here is less than £3.50, not too shabby I don't think!

Which is your favourite? I'm currently rocking the ribbon as it matches my green jumper. I love matchy matchiness!

DIY: Button ring

A few weeks ago I realised that most of the rings I lusted after were ridiculously expensive and I was sure I could do something cheaper. I bulk bought some ring bases from eBay and looked for inspiration. First up button rings. If you have a ring base, these are the easiest things to make, all you have to do is superglue buttons to the ring base. No joke, a 30 second job.

I'm going to raid charity shops for some cheap buttons for some more exciting buttons but check out my first attempt:

Not too bad I don't think. I'll be playing with more designs, also going to buy some cheap stud earrings for the same effect so I'll keep you updated!

My Versace for H&M dresses

I love Versace more than any other brand and I like to talk about their clothes. Of course I was ridiculously excited about their collaboration with H&M but even I was not willing to queue up overnight and get into territory wars with strangers to buy some a few dresses.

Instead I tried my luck online and after numerous page refreshes and many hours I managed to get through and buy a dress, I checked back a few days later and they still had some bits available so I bought a second dress.

Luckily my parents are paying for one and it is being wrapped up and placed under the christmas tree so I haven't had to fork out a small fortune in one go.

Obviously once I tried these dresses on I realised I had no accessories that matched (well that's what I'm telling myself) so I think I'll need to go shopping and buy a pair of gorgeous shoe boots and perhaps and gold clutch.

I love shopping...

I'm Back... and with a Best Dressed of the Week

Yes, yes I've been awfully neglectful of blogging recently but I'm back with a vengence, instead of exaggerating talking about how busy I've been I'm getting into a new feature, drum roll please:

Best Dressed of the Week

Exciting eh? Ok it's not very original I know but I want to share with you all my opinion on who should be crowned best dressed every week.

This week was a great one for fashion and there were lots of lovely dresses out and about. My favourite was the beautiful Zooey Deschanel in Oscar de la Renta at the BAFTA Brits to Watch Gala. She looked GORGEOUS!

I have such a girl crush on Zooey anyway but I really do love how she looks here. This girl is truly stunning and I love how she always looks so effortless and comfortable in what she wears, you can put a gorgeous girl in a gorgeous dress but if she doesn't feel right...it shows! This Oscar de la Renta beauty really is stunning, it is so simple yet still has such an impact. I think Oscar de la Renta are the designer to use for simple but stunning, if I had the money I'd wear these dresses to do the washing up in. I'm really pleased Zooey didn't over-accessorise (a crime I am very guilty of) as she just looked flawless, anyway that smile is the only accessory this girl needs.

Definitely my winner this week, well done Zooey.

Project 365 - Day 282 (20/11/10)

Day 282:  I am a big fan of hats, a bit like Matt Cardle.  I bought this one today from New Look for a bargian £6.99.

What do you all think?  To be honest, I love it.  I think I particularly love the leopard print trim, I do love me some leopard print!

Project 365 - Day 263 (01/1/10)

Day 263:  Pinch Punch first of the month!  I look at this and I think it looks like I got dressed in the dark, which is ironic considering it was the first morning I have got ready for work when it wasn't pitch black.  Anyway, fairly basic outfit with my BNTM Live necklace for fun.  I also wore the boots I always wear.

This is a close up of the necklace, I got it from BNTM live show today. It's awesome and I love the colour. I am rocking the blue and orange today and loving it.

New Watch

I love birthdays! I am such a birthday person!! This is a lovely watch I got from my big sister for a present. It is rubbery and soft which I absolutely love. It also means it is very comfortable and fits my bizarrely skinny wrists and lower arms. I wanted a watch that was colourful and fun so it is perfect...one in every colour please!

Project 365 - Day 235 (04/10/10)

Day 235: Argh this failed to send yesterday and I've only just noticed. So so sorry!

Well I was at the live final of Britain's Next Top Model (write up and pictures tomorrow) and it was awesome. As you can see in this pic I was extremely excited, I think that may explain my weird pose!

I wore my beloved dress me and my mum made with black accessories; heels, tights, belt and leather jacket. Kept it simple.

Much love

P.S. Some of you eagle eyed viewers may have caught me in the audience.

Project 365 - Day 226 (25/09/10)

Day 226: Wore the same outfit as Day 221, dressed by George at ASDA. I paired this look with my Desigual bag, Mum's pashmina worn as a scarf, 3 year old New Look sequin hat and my faithful DM's which are perfect for the wet and cold weather that followed me to France for the day.

Much love

Project 365 - Day 221 (20/09/10)

Day 221: I went shopping for leggings today (which I got) but I also got this dress from George at ASDA. I love it and for a bargain-ous £16 I am very happy with it. It's got lovely flowers on it and is perfect for Autumn, though it is not quite Autumn yet I really felt it was a wise investment.

I teamed this lovely dress with leggings (new of course and also from George), brown boots, leather jacket and my lovely Desigual bag.

Much love

Bag bag bag bag bag bag bag bag

Ok so from the title you may have realised that I have a new bag. My mum bought it for me today because she is lovely! It is from a brand called Desigual which is a recent discovery for me. I absolutely love love love them. They epitomise my attitude towards fashion as they are all about colour, fun, originality and positivity. This is when I feel it really is worth spending a bit of extra money on fashion as it really is well made, unique and beautiful

The bag I got is absolutely gorgeous, lots of patchwork (a key part of their look) and just so different. Lots of colours and just plain fun as well.

I particularly love the slogans they put on their items, this one for example has "Life is fantastic" and "Is not the same" written on some bangles on the handle, which is just so lovely and positive. My niece also got a dress today which says "Together? All together" which again is just lovely I think.

I also find the little touches really nice, on this bag are some beads sewn on the front which just add a little something extra.

All in all I could not love this bag more. Well done Mum!
